WELCOME TO OKC’S ONLY CAT CAFE

Three Cs To Live By:

COFFEE. CATS. CUDDLES.

Cafe

Welcome to don’t stress meowt - Cat Cafe! We are proud to be Oklahoma’s first cat cafe, where you can enjoy some coffee and go into our cat lounge to visit our furry friends. Our menu will offer your favorite coffee shop beverages and eats, including kid-friendly options for family visits and a local beer/wine selection for adult patrons. Even though the cafe is separate from the lounge, the open glass wall will bring you wonderful views of our feline friends while you sit and use our free WiFi.

OUR MISSION

COMMUNITY

Giving back and empowering our neighbors is a core value at our cafe. See you at our next outreach event!

IMPACT

We partner with local rescues to find loving homes for cats with the highest risk of being euthanized. By bringing these last-chance cats into our cat cafe, free from the stressful environment of a traditional shelter, we’re able to bring out their best colors and market them in a unique and special way that increases adoption rates and saves lives.

TOGETHERNESS

Our hope for the cafe is to foster a love of animals and others, while giving the community a safe space where all are welcome.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Picture your favorite coffee shop or hang-out spot. It’s a place you can come and relax, have a cup of coffee or cocktail, peruse a selection of yummy snacks and cute merchandise - all while being in the presence of our adorable and adoptable feline friends. The Cat Lounge acts as a great enrichment space for the cats with vertical and horizontal placements, while also helping them socialize to be the best furrever pets for anyone ready to adopt. To get started, guests simply book their hourly session to be in the cat lounge for guaranteed space or try for a walk-in appointment (when available).

Not a cat lover? Allergic? That's okay. You can still watch the cats from the open glass partition - or ignore them completely and focus on work - WiFi is speedy and free.

  • Cat Lounge times are hour-long sessions at $15 per hour, for humans of all ages.

To guarantee your desired time and company (if you’re coming with friends or family), we suggest making reservations so your experience can be purrrfect. Walk-Ins are welcome, but are based on availability and the Cat Lounge can only accommodate 8 people per hour - unless you book a private party experience.

  • Although we are certain your kitty is super cute, please do not bring your cat to the cafe. We’ll have 15-25 cats at a time who will be available for adoption through our partner Safe Haven Animal Rescue. The purpose of our cat lounge is to socialize and positively enrich all of the cats to prepare them for their journey towards adoption.

Contrary to what you might think, a cat cafe is not the feline equivalent of a dog park. Cats aren’t natural pack animals like dogs, so interaction with newcomers can be challenging. The residents at don’t stress meowt - Cat Cafe have been carefully socialized and gradually introduced to other residents. All your human friends are welcome though.

  • No, all food is prepared off-site, made by other local shops/bakeries.

You have the option to indulge in our treats on the cafe side or you can bring your drinks into the Cat Lounge. Food will not be allowed in the Cat Lounge.

  • We get it, but this is important for all kinds of reasons. You must sign a waiver before you enter the Cat Lounge. This release just explains that sometimes cats cause accidents and take responsibility for what might happen when you handle cats (we don’t believe in declawing and they’re nicknamed “murder mittens” for a reason).

Also, if you’re under 17, your parent or guardian has to sign the waiver on your behalf.

Once signed, we keep your waiver on file, so it’s only a one-time thing.

  • All our adoptable cats roam free within the lounge in a home-like environment. There is 24hr surveillance throughout the property to ensure the safety of our cats. If any of the cats become ill, they are quickly taken to a veterinarian for proper medical care and treatment.

  • Please do not feed them any human food. If you wish to pamper the cats, please ask a Staff Member about our cat treat add-on. We love our Cat Treat Gumball machine and so do our kitties.

  • Cats are moody. We respect that and ask that you do as well.

The cats can leave the Cat Lounge anytime they’ve “had enough” and retreat to their private sanctuary away from the public and the other cats. You’ll also notice that we’ve built walkways and perches high above the crowd. The cats are in charge here. They decide whether to be sociable or not.

  • It hurts our hearts to turn away a cat in need, but our space is unfortunately not equipped space-wise or medical-wise to accept surrenders. All of our adoptable cats come from Safe Haven Animal Rescue and are vetted at their facility before arriving. While we love our cats, we simply can’t function as a traditional rescue and that’s why our partners are so vital.

  • Our positions fill quickly. All job postings will be on our social media pages. If you don’t see a hiring post in the last two weeks, we’re not hiring.

  • There is no minimum age to visit the cat lounge; however, children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Parties in the cat lounge will require 1 adult per 6 children.

  • While we know these comments are always a joke, we want to reiterate a cat cafe DOES NOT serve cat to consume, does not serve cat food to humans, or any other variation of this. We have local human food for human guests and tasty cat food/treats for our feline residents.

“Cat cafe” is really just a cute simple way of saying “coffee-shop/group cat foster home” under one roof.

  • All snacks offered at the cafe will come from popular local vegan restaurant, The Loaded Bowl.

  • Have you ever googled “Don’t Stress Meowt - Cat Cafe phone number”, only to search and search? That’s because we don’t have one!

Please email (preferred) or message us on our socials. We get over 50 customer requests a day and made the decision to not burden our staff with these requests so they can focus their care on our cats and our guests. We (owners) directly respond to all messages. Phone calls are not an efficient method of communication for us, as we are unable to track them or respond with the links and documentation necessary to fulfill most requests. We appreciate your understanding.
